About Us

James Oliver Hearty and Sons is a family owned, privately run construction business with over 60 years of experience in the engineering sector. Originally founded in 1961 as McGuiness and Hearty, the company was later restructured forming the current JOH and Sons.

We have developed an array of multidisciplinary skills through successful completion of a wide variety of projects. We are highly experienced main contractors, with a pioneering team who deliver high quality projects for clients in various sectors.

We pride ourselves on our ability to work cohesively with all stakeholders to deliver on our clients' visions; meeting challenges with innovation, whilst delivering on our promises in relation to safety, budget and quality.
